INTRODUCTION :
Hello guys!!! firstly, let me introduce myself. My name is Muhammad Shah Haikal Bin Mohd Erwan and I'm from Negeri Sembilan. As you can see I'm a student from UITM Pahang Kampus Jengka and my course is Pre-Diploma in Agrotechnology AT001.To illustrate, this is a blog about UED 102 study Skills that all new UITM's student will learn during their interim week. I hope you guys enjoy my reading and gain useful information.
Today i want to talk about Academic Integrity and Performance? Let's see.
PLAGIARISM:
- Plagiarism is presenting someone else 's work or ideas as your own, with or without their consent, by incorporating it into your work without full acknowledgement. All published and unpublished material, whether in manuscript,printed or electronic form, is covered under this definition. Plagiarism may be intentional or reckless or unintentional. Under the regulations for examinations, international or reckless plagiarism is a disciplinary offence.
AVOIDING PLAGIARISM
Plagiarism: An act of using or closely imitating the language and thoughts of another author without authorization and the representation of that author's work as one's own, as by not crediting the original author.
TYPES OF PLAGIARISM
PREVENTING PLAGIARISM
- Don't procrastinate with your research and assignments.
- Commit to doing your own work
- Be 100% scrupulous in your note taking.
- Cite your sources scrupulously
- Understand good paraphrasing
CALCULATING GRADE POINT AVERAGE
- The final examination results and assessments at the end of every semester are assigned as Grade Point Average (GPA) and Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) which represent student's academic achievement.
